Acceptable Use Policy

Dated 17 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-17

Ochre Editions is a service operated by Valor Security (valor registered name). This policy is part of our Terms of Use. It applies to everyone who uses the site, the API or our MCP server, and to any agent acting for them.

Content

Don't upload, write or send anything that:

  • is unlawful, or promotes something unlawful;
  • sexualises minors in any way. We report such material to the authorities;
  • you don't have the right to share, such as someone else's photograph or artwork. See our Copyright and DMCA Policy;
  • shows an identifiable person who hasn't agreed to it;
  • harasses, threatens, demeans or targets anyone, or is hateful;
  • shares someone else's personal information, such as their address;
  • is spam, advertising, or a fake or paid-for review;
  • is built to attack software or people, such as a file disguised as an image, or text crafted to trigger code or to give instructions to AI agents that read it.

Automated access

Polite automated use of public pages and our MCP read tools is welcome. It must follow the Agent & API Terms, including the rate limits. Don't:

  • get around rate limits or blocks, for example by rotating IP addresses or accounts, or by disguising your software as another;
  • automate sign-in attempts, account creation or password guessing;
  • guess or cycle through promo codes or order numbers;
  • test payment cards, or use a card you aren't authorised to use.

Security

Good-faith security research is welcome within our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy. Outside it, don't probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses, try to reach accounts or data that aren't yours, or interfere with how the service runs.

The weekly drop

Drops are for collectors. Don't:

  • use bots or scripts to join a drop, hold editions or check out, other than an agent you authorise acting through our join_drop tool within its terms;
  • use several accounts, addresses or cards to get more than one edition;
  • buy editions in bulk for resale by any of these means.

We may cancel and refund any edition obtained this way.

Pretending to be someone else

Don't impersonate another person, Ochre Editions, or a museum, and don't claim that a museum endorses you or us.

What we do about it

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, refuse or cancel an order with a refund, cancel a drop edition, revoke an agent's access or an API key, block a client or network, or suspend or close an account. We report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires it, or where someone is at risk. We keep records of rule-breaking content and requests for security, as our Privacy Policy explains.

Reporting a problem

Use "Report this work" on any artwork page for a concern about a catalogue work. For anything else, write to legal email. Report security issues to security email.
