# Boat at a River Bank with Three Goats, in The Sea

Allart van Everdingen made this (probably c. 1645/1656), aged about 24. It is now at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.

Our note:

> Log-built houses and sheds cluster at the water’s edge, figures gather near one of the buildings and a boat is drawn up on the bank, with three goats nearby, as the title notes, and trees rising behind.
