# Scholar Watching the Waterfall, in 18th-century China

Luo Ping painted this in 1764, aged 31. It is now at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

From the museum's label:

> In this hanging scroll, a scholar and his attendant contemplate a waterfall. A light breeze lifts the scholar’s robe and blows the tree leaves, suggesting movement.
